Learning never stops! Learning never stops! When Ledgent Finance & Accounting, a division of Roth Staffing Companies, had to cancel its CPE class in March due to social distancing guidelines, Ledgent was committed to creating an alternative learning scenario to support attendees. Ledgent CPE University takes place on a monthly basis at different Ledgent branch locations across the country. It provides accounting professionals with an accessible opportunity to earn CPE credits, continue their professional learning, and network with accounting peers in their community.

During the coronavirus pandemic, Ledgent company leaders quickly decided to cancel the in-person March class and instead offer a virtual classroom.

Interested professionals can study the course material at their leisure, either by attending a live webinar, watching the webinar recording after the scheduled event, or downloading the PDF transcript. Once participants choose which way they want to work through the course material, they can fill out a quiz and return the completed form to their local Ledgent branch office for 3 CPE credits.

“We wanted to provide multiple ways for professionals to access the course material,” said Masato Takahashi, Branch Manager at Ledgent. “We understand that people across the nation are adjusting to new daily routines, which is why we wanted to not just move the classes online, but figure out how to make them accessible for anyone who is interested.”

Ledgent plans to continue offering these monthly webinars until it can reinstate in-person networking events. Each webinar will cover a different finance & accounting topic and will allow attendees to earn free credits towards their continuing professional education.

The first Ledgent CPE University live webinar is scheduled to take place on April 23, 2020 at 9 a.m. PDT/12 p.m. EDT. Interested professionals can sign up online.
